MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE
PROCESS TO BE A MEMBER
Membership in the Global Alliance of Parliamentarians on Artificial Intelligence (GAP-AI) is non-remunerative and open to Parliamentarians, academic institutions, think tanks, civil society, and experts dedicated to advancing ethical, inclusive, and human-centric AI governance.

Members join GAP-AI without any financial obligation, guided solely by a shared commitment to dialogue, collaboration, and responsible innovation.
Categories
​
1. Full Members: Sitting or Former Members of Parliament at the national/federal level.

Hold voting rights, may introduce resolutions, and serve in Thematic Committees.

Tenure: Aligned with their parliamentary term and extendable for continued engagement.
2. Associate Members: Academia, corporates, start-ups, think tanks, and civil society organisations.

Contribute expertise, research, and policy insights.

Participate in consultations and thematic dialogues.

Review & Admission: Secretariat evaluates alignment with GAP-AI’s mission and confirms membership.
